Here is a selection of some of my first Vintage Wedding Dress purchases.
My Private Vintage Wedding Dress Collection
I suppose your all wandering, “If she is so obsessed with buying Vintage Wedding Dresses what is her collection like?” WELL! I thought you’d never ask, let me show you a few.
This is the first vintage wedding dress that I purchased, I bought it in a secondhand clothing store. Its a 1960’s wedding dress in crisp white satin with a lace train. When I bought it there were large brown rust stains all over it, I was so pleased with the way the cleaners got all the stains out.
My next vintage wedding dress is a 1950’s tulle and Chantilly lace dress over what I presume is a heavey satin under skirt with some beading detail on the bodice. The train drapes beautifully at the back. The use of a crinoline petticoat would make the skirt flare out even more.
This Brocade 1940’s vintage wedding dress has turned a rich creamy colour with age, a pattern of raised roses decorates the entire dress. The dress has a sweetheart neckline and the collar can be worn either up or down, it looks lovely up but would need to be starched in order for it to stay standing. Note the almost diamond shape of the train.
I hope you enjoy reading about my collection as much as I enjoy sharing with you. Please feel free to leave a comment. I’d love to hear from you.
